Smell of Rain - June Challenge #15

When I was a child, I always loved the smell of the air just when it was about to rain. It is a very distinctive smell, musky yet pleasant as many sources tend to identify it; A very special mix of air and soil. As it is the 5th day in a row that rain struck upon Bangkok city, I realize that it is unlikely to stop anytime soon. The sound of water dripping from the roof can be heard from my bedroom and it cacalms me. When I was revising materials for final exams last semester, this was the sound I listened to. Luckily, even something as special as thunderstorm sound can be found on the net easily nowadays whereas you would have to wait for a rainy day in the past. Some like me were fond of those days, that you would be able to do a lot of things inside as you would do outside. It of course was a bad experience for me when I was in the tennis team and had to miss practice. Back then in California though, it never really rained. Just drizzle. Fo shizzle ma nizzle.
