I'm Batman - June Challenge #5

I did this a lot when it was during Final period, when you just run into an article at 1 in the morning and kept reading and reading links after links until the sun is up. I know it's not the healthiest of things to do, but I stumbled upon Batman Wiki.

Apparently, there's a shitload of stuff I didn't know in the DC universe. I mean, yes I'm a big fan of the Big Bang Theory and I laughed at every joke they made sounding nerdy when they talk about their obsessions over comic books. There was also that one episode which I really loved when it was the girls who actually argued about comic books. I laughed and laughed.

Comic Books Wikis are one of the things I can spend hours and hours exploring. Not just because I'm geeky and nerdy, but because it actually is literature, perhaps the most popular kind. When you read a wiki about two authors discussing how to properly end a character's role like they did for Barbara Gordon, the second of five Batgirls, you can see that it was a big shift in the story line. You ask yourself just a tiny bit whether or not comic books really are for children. Batman especially has one of the darkest story lines that I've ever seen. This was no longer just about a guy in a cape fighting petty thieves, it was more.

Then you read about how Barbara Gordon came back into crime fighting business after getting shot and paralyzed from the waist down as 'Oracle' She uses her detective skills from being taken under the Bat wings, and formed her own team of Super heroines called Birds of Prey. Not even going to go into details here since it just keeps going on and on. I also spent a shitload of time studying up about Robin as well. Possibly one of my favorite characters in the Batman series.
