The week's been going well and everyone knows what lies in wait at the end of it.
This paper was posted onto the doors of my dormitory as I was walking back to my hall after a class and now it has become official. Typhoon Megi is coming to Hong Kong.
The university also sent a notification through email to every student saying,...
"Dear colleagues and students,
As Severe Typhoon Megi is edging closer to Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Observatory has hoisted Strong Wind Signal Number 3. At 9 a.m., the severe typhoon was estimated to be about 470 kilometres southeast of Hong Kong and is forecast to move north at about 8 kilometres per hour across the northern part of the South China Sea and gradually edge closer to the south China coast. In preparation for the severe typhoon, especially if higher signal is hoisted at a later time, please take the following precautions. AS THIS TYPHOON IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY SEVERE, PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ENSURE THE FOLLOWING MEASURES ARE IMPLEMENTED FULLY....."
As the wind get stronger and stronger in the past few days, it has become clear that Megi is on her way. Some people including myself, who is in the middle of midterms, are actually looking forward to her arrival :)
and some are scared of her size because she is one big lady.
But all is not down right here in Hong Kong...because even though the clouds are coming....
...The sun still rises in the east ^_^
